Art Deco & Crystal Clip-on Drop Earrings

Designer Katherine Kornblau's inspiration for these non-pierced earrings was a gold pendant necklace made in Newark, New Jersey by Thomas W. Adams & Co., circa. 1900-1910, and now part of the Newark Museum Collection. Their geometry and symmetry, coupled with a boldness of both design and color represents classic Art Deco style. Hand crafted in the USA, the base metal is lead free pewter that is then plated with 24k gold or silver which is then antiqued to bring out the design details. A black half bead and two faceted crystals - green that is the color of the gemstone Peridot with the golden earrings or dark blue that is the color of the irradiated gemstone Beryl in the silvery one - provide the color notes. Hanging from a simple ball and loop clip, they are 1 and 5/8 inches (42mm) long. Sorry, there is no information card for these earrings.
