Black & Gold Oval Clip-on Button Earrings

The black enameled center, which is 12x9mm (about 1/2 by 3/8 inch), in these 24mm high (just short of 1 inch) non-pierced earrings, has the look of an onyx cabochon. Nestled in a gold-plated bezel setting, it is surrounded by a gold-plated oval with curved ribs that are limned in black enamel to highlight the small metal beads in the ribs. Using a technique called granulation, more small beads are added to the edges of the ribs and oval. 3/4 inch (19mm) across at its widest point and rising to 1/4 inch (6mm) on center, the earring has a padded paddle back clip.
