Candace Wheeler's Daffodil Clip-on Earrings

Designed and made in the USA by David Howell and Company, these 1 and 13/16 inches (47mm) long non-pierced earrings are based on a textile design by Candace Wheeler (1827-1923). The open work disc - diameter 1 and 5/16 inches (33mm) - fashioned in very shiny 24K gold-plating with leaf green enamel accents is an intricate pattern of swaying daffodils evoking a windy Spring day. And hanging from a simple clip with a flat front, they do sway gently. An accomplished designer, author and advocate of women's equality, Candace Wheeler helped pave the way for women in arts and design.
