Chinese Princess Filigree Clip-on Earrings

These exquisitely made non-pierced earrings are a good representation of the fine, lacy filigree made in China dating back to the Han Dynasty (210 BC) that is still very popular today. The technique used then and now involves drawing mainly pure silver or gold into very thin threads that are twisted into intricate patterns. These are fashioned in Sterling Silver by MuseuM ReproductionS and embellished with bright blue enamel. Hanging from a hinged screwback clip their overall length is 2 and 3/4 inches (7cm) and they are 3/4 inch across at their widest point.
