The heart of this handcrafted and hand stitched non-pierced earring is a triangle of Goldstone, a mesmerizing, manmade gemstone. Designer Chipita Eagle frames it with shiny silver & golden beads and beads of Goldstone. There are so many tiny copper dots that sparkle in these stones, that with the slightest movement the earrings 'twinkle.' [A picture cannot do them justice and they appear more red online than in real life.] This very special padded paddle back clip earring is approximately 1 and 1/8 inches (28mm) high and wide.
Gemstone information: Goldstone is a type of glass that has been heated to a liquid. Then color - blue, green or reddish brown - is added. Copper salts are then added to the colored liquid glass that is held at high temperature for a while, then allowed to cool. This turns the salts into copper crystals creating that unique sparkle.
