Egyptian Birds Clip-on Dangling Earrings

From David Howell & Company, these beautiful matte gold finished non-pierced earrings are inspired by the images of Emile Prisse d'Avennes. In 1847, after laboring 15 years to compile in painstaking detail one of most complete records of ancient Egypt, d'Avennes completed Egypt: Monuments, Egyptians, bas reliefs, peintures, inscriptions' which is now in the library collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art. Two birds seem to soar in the slightly more than 1 inch (27mm) long and 3/4 inch (19mm) wide dangle which hangs from a flat simple clip for an overall length of 1 and 3/4 inches (45mm).
