Granulated DoorKnocker Clip-on Earrings

The classic doorknocker style earring is given an up-to-date look by combining two beautiful finishes in this non-pierced version. In your choice of gold- or rhodium-plating, the smooth 7/8 inch (23mm) half hoop rises to 5/16 inch (9mm) on center and hides a padded paddle back clip. Swinging gently below the top, the doorknocker - 1 and 1/4 inches (31mm) across at its widest point - is covered with small metal beads in a criss cross pattern. (The use of small beads to make a pattern by fusing small beads onto the earring's surface is a technique called granulation developed in ancient Greece.)
