Janice's Chrysacolla Clip-on Drop Earrings

Chrysocolla, the king of carbonate copper gemstones, is an alluring, vivid blue-green color reminiscent of looking down upon the earth's surface from space. (Its name was first used by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and botanist, in 315 B.C.) Designer Janice Girardi choose to set the stone, which is approximately 1 inch (25mm) long, 7/16 inch (11mm) across at its widest point and rises 3/16 inch (5mm) on center, in a Sterling Silver bezel band showing its natural beauty from front and back. Hanging from a hinged ball and loop clip, the overall length of these non-pierced earrings is 1 and 1/2 inches (39mm). Beautiful in their simplicity, each individual earring will be unique.
