The 1 inch (25mm) high, 3/4 inch (19mm) wide and 1/4 inch (6mm) deep closed back oval setting is fashioned with traditional Balinesian designs by Asian master silversmiths. An alchemy treatment enhances its detail. The faceted oval stone is available in your choice of Platinum Quartz (left) or Chrysocolla (right). Platinum Quartz is a unique doublet stone made of a faceted dome of crystal Quartz over a base of Quartz that has been coated with Platinum and brushed for a beautiful lustrous look that is poorly captured in a photo. Chrysocolla, the king of carbonate copper gemstones, is an alluring, vivid blue-green color reminiscent of looking down upon the earth's surface from space. The name was first used by Theophrastus, a Greek philosopher and botanist, in 315 B.C.
