M. Golan's Silverado Flower Clip-on Buttons

When Israeli-born designer Michal Golan crafts a non-pierced button earring, there is nothing cliche about it. From her Silvarado collection, these begin with a 1 inch (26mm) diameter closed-back antiqued silver electroplated disk that's center is painted with a dark grey enamel for a bit of shine. Set atop it is a stylized daisy fashioned of Gunmetal - a type of bronze (an alloy of copper, tin, and zinc), originally chiefly used for making guns. A shiny golden ball sits in the flower's center and 7 golden Fleur-de-lis peek out from under the petals. Gunmetal beads between the Fleur-de-lis complete the design elements which, due to their layering, raise the center of these padded paddle back clip earrings to a depth of 5/16 inch (8mm). The designers signature is etched into the back.
