Michal Golan's Icy Dream Clip-on Drop Earrings

A picture cannot do justice to these 1 and 3/4 inches (44mm) long nonpierced earrings by designer Michal Golan. Fashioned with silver electroplated over white metal and then oxidized to give it a matte finish, hanging from simple ball and loop clip, the drop has 2 parts. The upper part is a 3 dimensional flower with a brilliant 5mm faceted clear crystal at its center. The base of the lower part - diameter 3/4 inch (19mm) - rises gently on center with a layer of silver enamel for an extra touch of shimmer. It is graced by a smaller version of the flower, 5 more clear crystals in a variety of sizes and 2 chunks of Rock Crystal (each one uniquely shaped) - the inspiration for the earring's name.
Gemstone Note: Rock Crystal is the name given to all clear quartz. It can have the colorless clarity of pure water, yet the most common flaws - internal fractures - result in veils and colorful refractions that lend beauty to an otherwise ordinary object. It is an alternate & traditional birthstone for the month of April.
