Michal's Large Mother-of-Pearl Clip-on Earrings

When Israeli-born designer Michal Golan crafts a non-pierced button earring, there is nothing cliche about it. Beginning with a 1 and 1/8 inches (29mm) high and 13/16 inch (21mm) wide electro-plated silver over white metal oval thats center is painted with golden enamel for a bit of shine. A 6x4mm (approximately 1/4 by 1/8 inch) oval cabochon of shimmering Mother-of-Pearl is set across the earring's center and ringed by a row of tiny silver beads and then a row of larger golden beads. Antiqued gold 'braid' curliques and antiqued silver hearts radiate out from the rings. Set between them are shiny Hematite balls and 12 round and oval Fresh Water Pearls.
