Michal's Turquoise & Carnelian Button Earrings

Michal Golan's love for Byzantine jewelry is clearly the inspiration for these lovely electroplated silver non-pierced earrings. The intricate metal designs are layered one on top of another for an ornate clip-on earring that is graced by gemstone beads of Turquoise and Carnelian. The base is an oval that is 1 and 3/8 inches (35mm) high and 1 inch (25mm) wide that has been brushed with a layer of silver enamel to give it an extra touch of shimmer. The paddle back clips have a gripper sleeve for comfort and security and the designer's name is etched into the back of each earring.
Carnelian is an A-grade Agate that is naturally orange. Ancient Egyptians believed it had great power in the afterlife, so their tombs are full of carnelian jewelry.
