Monet Water Lily Pads Clip-on Drop Earrings

Inspired by Claude Monet's painting series "The Water Lilies" on exhibit since 1927 in the Muse de l'Orangerie in Paris, these non-pierced earrings have a gold-plated base. Featuring lush pearlized green enamels, 3 lily pads float on a 1 and 3/16 inches (30mm) long drop. A 3mm Fresh Water Pearl graces each pad. About the Painting: Following WWI, Monet wanted his work to take on both aesthetic and poetic dimensions of nature and peace. He chose to display them in the Orangerie because it offers an ideal setting for contemplation - away from the city, flanked by the Seine on the south and hidden away on a high terrace of the garden.
