Prehnite & Silver Clip-on Earrings

These non-pierced linear earrings by designer Heather Outlaw feature Prehnite. Named after its discoverer, Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, it is a translucent pale green gemstone with random black streaks that is a perfect partner for silver. The drop starts with a 7/16 inch (11mm) high and 1/2 inch (13mm) wide oval of Prehnite, with a rondelle of silver beads above and below it. The silver leaf piece that anchors the drop is hand fashioned by the designer and has an aged patina. Hanging from a simple ball and loop top, the overall length of these distinctive earrings is 2 and 1/4 inches (57mm). Made in the USA, each piece will have subtle unique differences in pattern and shape that are the hallmarks of handcrafting and natural gemstones.
