Qin Dynasty Princess Crown Clip-on Earrings

These beautiful 3 and 1/8 inches (79mm) long non-pierced earrings are inspired by Chinese Zen symbols from the ancient Qin Dynasty, the first ruling dynasty of Imperial China, lasting from 221 to 206 BC. The metal is .925 sterling silver plated with rhodium, a member of the platinum family, that does not tarnish or corrode. Hanging from a simple ball and loop clip, the drop begins with a 7mm (a bit more than 1/4 inch) ball of the gemstone Red Agate which turns and, following Tao belief that heaven is round, represents life that is ever changing. The next section is a stylized representation of a crown worn by Zhangsun as Princess of Qin and Crown Princess and the princess herself. The black elements are Black Agate.
