Artists Marvin and Michelle Shafer fashioned these clip-on earrings using a special color process that gives them the saturated color that is the hallmark of Q3 Art products. These 1 and 5/8 inches (41mm) long non-pierced earrings - called Tusk by the designers - begins with a flat 1/2 inch (13mm) disc that covers a simple clip. Available in 2 color combinations: on the left with Brass findings, 3 shades of Green with a brass wire 'squiggle;' on the right with Nickel Silver findings, black and silver with a black 'squiggle.'
Notes: The colored pieces are made of aluminum which is anodized, an electroletic process in which the surface - which has been polished so there are no sharp edges - becomes a tough porous sponge allowing dye to soak into the surface of the metal.
