Tonal Capiz Drops Clip On Earrings

These non-pierced earrings feature Capiz shell, a semi-transparent shell with a pearlescent appearance. from oysters - nicknamed the windowpane oyster - that is found in Philippine coastal waters. Capiz shell slices - some dyed intense blue/purple (left) or bright orange/red (right) - are encased in clear acrylic to protect them and then made into fashionable clip earrings. The acrylic preserves the unique pattern and luster of the shell, for an artistic interplay of light with even the smallest movement. The shell rectangles are 11/16 of an inch (17mm) wide, and 1 and 1/16 inches (29mm) long. With a simple rhodium-plated ball and loop clip, the total length is 1 and 7/8 inches (48mm).
